The God Delusion.  -A book often read by commuters in San Francisco

Good gracious, one of these days when someone's reading that again next to me on BART(Bay Area Rapid Transit), it'd be my duty to pull out my Bible and start reading it with a smile on my face.

i'm not surprised that the god delusion is a bestseller in sf. btw, did you hear that richard dawkins has initiated a "coming-out" campaign for closet atheists? he wants to show that atheism is becoming more influential than belief in god or any other supreme being. mind you, mr. dawkins is not attacking the church; he is attacking belief in a supernatural being itself. basically, he has declared war not only on christianity but also islam, chinese folk religion, judaism and hinduism. mr. dawkins may claim that he doesn't believe in any god at all but he does believe in something - scientism. as a militant atheist, he believes that the universal is a closed box, in which all events within the box are all natural and materialistic and that there is no such thing as the supernatural. basically, he has to deny god's word and the existence of jesus and his resurrection. but here's the thing that really takes even more faith in order to believe mr. dawkins - in order to be a militant atheist, you have to deny that god revealed himself through the human conscience. this implantation from god gives us the ability to distinguish right from wrong and have a strong notion that god is out there. dawkins himself is a neo-darwinist. basically, he claims that the desire of humans to find solace in a religion is the result of a molecular process in the brain. he also claims that some humans do good deeds and some humans do bad things like murder people because those actions are the product of their DNA. i feel that is absolutely proposterous. since genes in DNA can be passed down from generation to generation, if dawkins is correct, then the descendants of the nazis in germany should be just as evil and jew-hating as the nazis themselves. i'm sorry mr. dawkins but today, most germans are skeptical of any political movements as a result of nazism. since militant atheists deny anything supernatural, whatever moral act we do, whether it be bad or good, would have no moral consequences whatsoever since there is no god to judge us. i would like to get mr. dawkins to tell the relatives of the september 11th attack victims that the reason why mohammed atta and his cohorts decided to attack the twin towers and the pentagon was that they were obeying the processes of their DNA. i would also ask mr. dawkins how he would like it if people robbed him, pillaged his home and raped and killed his family members? if he is a hardcore atheist, he would have to say that the perpetrators were doing what their DNA told them to do and they could get away with it because there is no god to judge them. i doubt he would generate that response.

check out this radio show by albert mohler, the southern baptist theological seminary and convention president. he dedicates a good portion of the show to discussing about richard dawkins, his book the god delusion and his "coming-out" campaign for closet atheists.

if you happen to spot people on the bus or bart reading the god delusion, you should not only pull out your bible but also this book called what's so great about christianity by dinesh d'souza. in this book, d'souza shows where dawkins' arguments fall short using history, philosophy and science. i happen to own a copy signed by the author himself. get yours today and spread the word about this book to our fellow brothers and sisters in christ.

these days, the far-left secular progressives are getting more vociferous and strident every day with their idealistic, short-sighted views. with their rising influence in society and government, we as christians cannot afford to turn the other cheek. we need to defend our faith and the traditional america we all long loved and immigrated for passionately.
